This is a family operation owned by Merle & Terri Morgan, and Scott & Desirae Wheeler. Our horses are mostly competed on by Desirae Wheeler and Alisha Wheeler.

Winning Barrel Horses has been racing on the flat track for over 30 years. Merle Morgan with his brothers owned and trained racehorses while Terri & Robert (Bob) Morgan rode most of their horses as jockeys. Merle & Terri became very educated on taking care of the horses from vaccinating, antibiotics, leg care, foaling, breeding, to castrating stallions, palpate follicles, caslicks sutures, preg. check mares, etc. Both Terri & Merle trained and owned multiple stake winners some including Easy Bo Jangles and Smokem Tiny. Terri & Merle raced Thoroughbreds, Paints, and Quarter Horses.

Over the years Terri & Merle had 4 boys and 2 girls. Both of the girls (Cindy Bates and Desirae Wheeler) rode the horses. Cindy Bates during her school years rode the Thoroughbreds and one Quarter Horse in Dressage as well as jumping. Both Cindy and Desirae "Desi" galluped racehorses until Desi was old enough to become a Jockey. Desi continued with being a jockey until the love of barrel racing came along. Desi's senior year was her first time competing on two barrel horses she trained, TM Gotcha and TM Lil Cashier. Desi took "Cashier" to qualify her first year to the state finals in Pole Bending in 2003. Both went on to compete in the IMPRA summer of 2004 to qualify to the finals in Blackfoot, ID. They won multiple rodeos and multiple 1D barrel races. The fall of 2005 Desirae filled her permit in the WPRA in her first 2 rodeos one including; 2nd at the WPRA War Bonnet RoundUp at Idaho Falls, ID.

During the years Desirae got hooked onto barrel futurities. She started Smoke Flash Im Gone. He was a very successful futurity stallion who is now one of their main stallions. TM Miss Laney who won over $50,000 as a futurity colt.  SD Royals Lane who won multiple futurities and won or placed in many pro rodeos. Ima Aba Daba Do who was a standout futurity filly as well as Imachocojinglejangle who broke an arena record as a futurity colt.  All trained by Desirae Wheeler.

Scott & Desirae have 4 kids.  Cole is the oldest boy who is very handy with babies on the ground, Alisha who is becoming her own champion barrel racer already has won over $100,000, Jaiden a boy who passed away in a 4 wheeler accident when he was 5, and then the new baby girl Kennedy. The whole family usually is traveling together to promote their horses in the barrel industry.
